Services - Blood Vessel Laser

What is it and what does it do?

This procedure is a laser that reduces and eliminates small blood vessels and spider veins.

What areas can be treated?

Almost anywhere on the body can be treated, however, the most common sites are on the face, neck, and legs. This procedure is especially useful to treat patients with the diagnosis of rosacea. This laser will greatly reduce the constant erythema (redness) present on the face. It is also very useful for reduction and removal of spider veins that occur on the legs of women after pregnancy.

How long does it last?

Depending on the areas treated, it may require 3-4 treatments for elimination of the vessels and they do not recur once destroyed.

Is there discomfort involved?

There is minimal discomfort associated with this procedure.

Is there any "downtime" involved?

There is no downtime, however, there may be short-term bruising in some of the areas treated.

Tips To Remember

Always verify the training and expertise of the physician performing the procedure. More importantly, there are salons and spas performing blood vessel removal with a "laser" that in reality is NOT a laser but high intensity light. This procedure is performed entirely by Dr. Handler.
